Cures
As rashes appear on the skin due to various reasons, they need to be treated accordingly. Usually, rashes are not contagious. But they need to be protected against dust, contact with animals, unwashed clothes, and even sunlight!
Whatever the reason behind rashes, the skin definitely loses moisture and is dried out further. And the sufferer feels like scratching it frequently. It only results into greater number of rashes on the skin.
Here are a few ways to cure rashes.
Drink Lots of Water - Try drinking at least 6 - 8 glasses of water everyday. Water, apart from cleansing the body of toxins, keeps the skin smooth. And we know that it's a dry skin and not a smooth and healthy one that's prone to rashes.
Apply Moisturizing Creams or Lotions - Apply a good moisturizing cream or lotion. If your skin is dry, you need the moisturizers even more. Rashes appear on the skin lacking in moisture. Once the rashes appear, the dry skin is dried out further. And the sufferer feels like scratching it frequently. It worsens the situation. A moisturizer may save you from all this trouble.
Avoid Hot Baths - Avoid hot showers. A hot bath dries the skin. If a cold bath doesn't suit you, you may try a lukewarm one as it doesn't dry out the skin excessively. Also, avoid soaps. If you must apply soap on the skin, it must be a mild one. However, there are various soaps available in the market suitable for dry skin.
Guard Your Skin Against Allergies - Allergies may result into rashes. Identify the source of allergy. You may seek the help of your dermatologist. Stay away from whatever your skin is allergic to. It may be animal furs, flowers, dust, fabrics, etc.
Use Sun Screen Lotions - In case, you suffer from rashes due to sunlight, use a good sun screen lotion. Apply it on your face, hands, arms and the parts of body that are exposed to sunlight before you move out in the open. |
